Nos Vemos

Hola mis amores! This week went good. I was a little bummed out to see that we weren't able to get out and about as much as I thought. But I am glad for the time I have had in Pradera Dorada. I got to see a few of my favorite people and say goodbye. I have learned a lot from them here. They taught me the importance of living true to what you believe and living it! They taught me to love more the atonement of Christ. I noticed that I got better and better and repentance and am starting to understand more of Christs atonement. I am so very thankful for it. This week I thought a lot about my ancestors and the pioneers. I am so grateful for their sacrifice and all they went through so that I could be born into the Gospel. I owe all I have to them and to God. I hope that I have made them proud with my time here. It helped me understand that everything God puts in front of us is to help us grow and that I can always look at life with a posit...

A List of Blessings

Hola todos!! This week went fairly well. We started the week well and went okay after we received the news of my companions foot. We spent this last weekend in the house. My companion tore a ligament in her foot and is a little delicate right now. We weren't able to walk all weekend. This week we were given permission to leave to walk to lunch and to our important appointments. minimal walking. It was a little hard on me to hear that this last week and a half of my mission would be a lot harder for us to walk around and preach the gospel like I had been used to for the past 17 months. But I got to reflecting while we sat at home. I thought about my whole mission and what a blessing every single day has been, even the hard and difficult days that I didn't necessarily enjoy in that moment. I realized that every last moment had built up to my spiritual progress. I remember thinking how time passed slowly and I look back and realize how fast it truly did pass. I was glad that ...

Mid Week Report

Hola todos!! This week I'm writing on a Wednesday! We switched our P-Day to be able to go to the temple. Today is also my companions birthday. We went to the temple and then to a kids science museum which was pretty fun.  This week we have seen progress with some of the people we are teaching. Leo has been doing really well learning to read and is working towards his baptismal date this week.  I dont have much time left to comment anything else about the week but here are some pictures :)) Love you all! Remember that God loves you more!

Hola todos!  This week was fun so lemme just put it into some bullet points for ya. - I got sick this weekend so that has been fun. - One of our investigators has been progressing quite well in his quest to learn how to read! We are seeing him have more enthusiasm to come to church and to take on the task to stop smoking. :)) I'm pretty excited about that. - We've finally got in touch with the ward and are planning a ward activity about sharing the gospel so that should be fun! - Our electricity went out so our fridge is dead and we don't have hot water... again :)) - One of the members invited us to carne asada and that was super fun :) - we went to a trampoline park today :) I love you all and ill see you soon!!

Thank You

New Year, Same Spiritual Progress

Image
HOLA TODOS!!!! Its been a good week here in Juaritos. Just like every week is in the work of the Lord.  This week we worked a lot with the people we've been teaching to set goals for the new year. I also wrote down some spiritual goals. It is important that we set goals in life.  I like a talk by Richard G. Scott: With all my capacity I encourage you to discover who you really are. I invite you to look beyond the daily routine of life. I urge you to discern through the Spirit your divinely given capacities. I exhort you to prayerfully make worthy choices that will lead you to realize your full potential.    I will share one sure way you can begin to accomplish such growth. I have seen valiant missionaries brave icy wind, resist torrential rains, slosh through slippery, muddy streets, and conquer fear. Often they bear a powerful testimony, only to be rejected and roundly criticized. I have seen them struggle to communica...
