Mas Sol

Hola todos :) This week was a little less hot. Making progress :) This week we didn't do much out of the ordinary. This week I study the talk 'Like a Broken Vessel' by Elder Holland. I loved its message. It kind of hit me because this Sunday our bishop shared the same talk. I like this talk because it helps us know that through the Savior we can me made whole. He suffered everything. Every last little thing. I also really like the song Broken by Kenneth Cope. It reminds me that sometimes being or feeling a little broken is okay. It allows us to change and to grow to become better or healed through Christ. Take a minute during the week to think about how grateful you really are for this pain that Christ went through so that at the end of the day, if you do your part, you can me made completely whole This week they changed the ward boundaries! Half of our area and half of another are being swallowed up into another ward that had very few people. This means we have...

Humility

HOLA MIS AMORESSSSS!! Otra semana y mas experiencias inolvidables! :)  This week was full of learning. I learned two things: 1. Humility is a very important Christlike attribute. 2. Don't play with your health. ;) Number One: Humility     This week I learned how to be a little more humble. Pride is essentially competitive in nature. We pit our will against God’s. When we direct our pride toward God, it is in the spirit of “my will and not thine be done.” As Paul said, they “seek their own, not...

I DID MY TIME

Image
or better said, IM DOING MY TIME! 12 MONTHS OF IT! IN JUAREZ ESTACA NORTE! (slight referencing to one of my favorite movies. bonus points if ya know ;) )  For those of you new here, I would like to inform you that I will OFFICIALLY completed a year of my mission! And what's more, it has been in the  same  stake! I'm blessed :')  But, seriously, all joking aside, I have loved every minute of it! I have grown to know the ins and outs of these areas and how to do my job as a missionary more effectively. Not to mention that I now know where all the best burritos and tortas are.  (I am going to aoligize ahead of time because there is one letter on this keyboard that doesn't work every once in a while., I'll let you figure out which one jaja) This week was really interesting. I had felt a little down (shocker) as we've been having a hard time finding new people to teach. i prayed a lot this week that god would...
