Ghosts, Spiders and Aliens?

Happy Almost Halloween!!

The work moves on about the same as it does every week.

This week I struggled quite a bit, not gonna lie. I felt really inadequate... again jaja. However, Lord showed His hand in abundance this week.

-The other day we got stopped by an American father and his daughter who didn't speak any Spanish but wanted to give us 600 pesos. He said that they always love having the missionaries over but never have the chance, so this was his way of giving us lunch. Then we found 20 pesos on the ground on the way to an appointment.

-One of our converts gave us Milky Ways after our weekly visit with him. He's progressed so much since his baptism and it's amazing to see him become more like the Savior and more happy!

-A crying man in sunglasses stopped us and gave us 20 pesos to keep doing the Lord's work. He's not a member. We had no idea who he was.

-One of our investigators gave us handmade scarfs that he sells during the winter. (Whenever winter actually decides to come for real).

I learned that when life seems overwhelming, we need to focus on others and trust that the Lord will help us. I've learned that when we feel like we can't go on, we aren't doing our part to become like the Savior. When we work to become like Him, turning outward instead of inward, we can find more happiness and more surety. I encourage each of you to pick one Christlike attribute to work on this week and of course, and to keep reading the Book of Mormon! ;)

In Other News:

One of our old investigators we had to leave believes in aliens.

We stopped by to visit him and just check up to see if he had a change of heart. During our visit, he kept talking about 'the brothers of the light' and said that he was talking with people who could talk to them. He said that sometimes, the people could go into the woods and 'pray' to see them and then the aliens would come down and visit them telling them what to do. So he basically gave us the first vision but with aliens? Heaven knows where his getting all this. It kinda made us sad to see him so lost and confused. We gave our testimony and invited him again to read and pray. But that was interesting.....

And we have a pet! Well, it's not as cool as Jordan's scorpion and it's not really our pet, but he does like to follow us around when we tract in his neighborhood. He completes our trinity.
