Un Mes de Milagros :)

Image
This month has been MILAGROSO.  Let's start with a summary. This month: - I completed half of my mission.  It has honestly gone flying by. I have LOVED my time here in Ciudad Juarez and I know that this was the mission made for me. Better said, I know the Lord has prepared me for this mission. I KNOW with all of my heart that the prophet receives revelation for the Church and that I have been called of God to serve here. In short, I am very thankful and very happy :) - I'll have a birthday. I turn twenty and had the best district to celebrate with me early.  - We found a wonderful couple from Veracruz and we're going to have a BAPTISM! (Fingers crossed and prayers uttered.) They are the most wonderful couple. When we first met them, they had a lot of work ahead of them but we knew that they had willing spirits. In three weeks they left bad habits, bad words and gained more love in their relationship and have embraced ...

A Lesson Learned

Hola mis queridos amigos y familia! I'm sorry about last week and the fact that I didn't write home... please forgive me ;)  This week we spent a lot of time out in the sun. It's not as pretty as it sounds... I'm sure that I've turned a full shade of coffee brown. My area consists of a lot of gated communities and a lot of cotton fields. We only have one open community in our area that we use to contact. We mostly spend all of our day there and then sometimes we head out the the gated communities through the cotton fields. When I got here the cotton plants were placed and now, a little later on, we are starting to see the plants grow! I'm convinced that by the time I get done in this area, I'm going to be able to harvest cotton myself ;)  Even though the area is tough, it's full of miracles! We have been able to find and start teach a young couple that recently moved here from Veracruz. Their circumstances aren't the best but...

Hola todos! I don't have a lot of time left to write, so I'll keep it short and sweet :) This week went by super fast but it was amazing! We had the opportunity to teach several new people with a lot of potential. We were also able to watch Edgar be baptized! We have been so blessed with willing members and miracles!  I am doing well and seeing the Lord's hand in the work I'm doing here! I love and miss you all and want to remind you of the importance and power of personal prayers.  Les amo mucho!!! Nos vemos pronto!
