A Lesson Learned

Hola mis queridos amigos y familia!

I'm sorry about last week and the fact that I didn't write home... please forgive me ;)

This week we spent a lot of time out in the sun. It's not as pretty as it sounds... I'm sure that I've turned a full shade of coffee brown. My area consists of a lot of gated communities and a lot of cotton fields. We only have one open community in our area that we use to contact. We mostly spend all of our day there and then sometimes we head out the the gated communities through the cotton fields. When I got here the cotton plants were placed and now, a little later on, we are starting to see the plants grow! I'm convinced that by the time I get done in this area, I'm going to be able to harvest cotton myself ;)

Even though the area is tough, it's full of miracles! We have been able to find and start teach a young couple that recently moved here from Veracruz. Their circumstances aren't the best but they are very receptive to the gospel. We have even put a baptismal date with the wife! We are seeing their huge progress and are watching the gospel take place in their lives. It's a huge difference that starts with the little things.

I've always loved the way the Book of Mormon prophet Alma explains faith and the importance of doing the little things. Take a look ;)

I'm out of time again this week but I promise I'll write a better email next week.

I love you all and hope you have a fantastic week!
