Usted no es una persona de una quesadilla

Hola Queridos! This week I learned two very important things.  1. Families can really be together forever and that information we have is precious and we should share it. Always.  This talk by President Hinckley is a very, very powerful one that I happen to love. https://www.lds.org/general- conference/1996/04/this- glorious-easter-morn?lang=eng     It talks more about the miracle and the wonderful gift that Christ gave us. Not only peace and comfort in moments of suffering but the promise of a resurrection. Through Him, we can also be sealed to our families for time and all eternity.  Family is forever.  It is a beautiful promise. It is not a lottery. It not oh if only. It is not fantasy. It is possible through the restored church of our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. More than that, God wants us to reach that goal. He wants us to reach the eternal life together with our families. This is one of our favorite things to share with ...

I still speak English?

Hola todos! Well, for one of the first times in my mission I feel like a lot happened this week! jajaja I'm just kidding.  This week we experienced a large amount of success in an area that usually doesn't have a whole lot of it. The first half of the week was rough. We had a hard time contacting, finding new people to teach and well, all of the other aspects of missionary work. When Thursday ended, I decided I wasn't gonna let our week continue like it was. Friday morning, my companion went to a leadership meeting along with a couple other sister training leaders so I got to bring two other sister's to my area for the morning. Before leaving the house, I set myself a goal. We were going to come back with five lessons before lunch. We worked hard and looked for a lot of people. I'm very happy to say, we did it!! Since that morning, we kicked ourselves into gear and we're able to raise our numbers to the highest they've been in a while. We are now...

Nogales is a Nut Tree

This week we have cambios! But, I'm staying here in Nogales with my comp :) On that note, I learned that nogales are nut trees, so there's your fun fact this week ;) (Oddly enough we haven't found any here jaja) Yesterday, we met a young woman named Guadalupe. She moved here from Oaxaca and we just started teaching her. We were able to teach a powerful lesson about the Plan of Salvation. When we finished she told us that she always felt bad not having enough to give. We told her that her heart and company was enough. Justo despues, she said 'Muchas gracias, pero todavia voy a darles algo'. She gave us some Atole and crackers. Needless to say that was a good moment :) The other Hermanas in our ward had a miracle baptism this Saturday! A few weeks ago our phone got a call from Salt Lake. We thought that was weird but we answered. It was a reference for the other hermanas but it came from a sister serving in Te...

Hello from the Other Side (Of the Border)

Hola mis queridos hermanas y hermanos! This week was a much better week! We were able to reach almost all of our goals! We were able to find plenty of new people to teach.  This week we also had Zone Conference and Stake Conference, both of which were amazing! In Stake Conference we learned a lot of good things. We had an Area 70 drop in. He talked about loving and serving others they way that Christ would and not in the way that we would or that is convinient for us. That's the type of love and service that is required of us to give.  I'm out of time to write something super good and entertaining and for that I apologize. However, I encourage you all to get to know your neighbors, the people you work with or the people you pass in the grocery store, close friends or people you haven't seen in a long time and introduce them to the missionaries. It provides a great opportunity to build your personal testimony and to help others come unto Christ, to be a true ...
