Nogales is a Nut Tree
This week we have cambios! But, I'm staying here in Nogales with my comp :) On that note, I learned that nogales are nut trees, so there's your fun fact this week ;) (Oddly enough we haven't found any here jaja)
Yesterday, we met a young woman named Guadalupe. She moved here from Oaxaca and we just started teaching her. We were able to teach a powerful lesson about the Plan of Salvation. When we finished she told us that she always felt bad not having enough to give. We told her that her heart and company was enough. Justo despues, she said 'Muchas gracias, pero todavia voy a darles algo'. She gave us some Atole and crackers. Needless to say that was a good moment :)
The other Hermanas in our ward had a miracle baptism this Saturday! A few weeks ago our phone got a call from Salt Lake. We thought that was weird but we answered. It was a reference for the other hermanas but it came from a sister serving in Temple Square who is original from another ward in our stake and family of a lot of members here in our ward. Carlos, the reference, was definitely ready to be baptized. He had already read the Book of Mormon and knew that the church is true. He was baptized in three weeks. the day of his baptism we were eating with members when we received a message from the mission president. He was waiting outside the chapel! We all piled into the car and headed to the chapel. The baptism was beautiful and it was cool to almost be a part of it ;)
For my companion's birthday, we had a District Meeting so we bought some cake and made the best of it :)
We met someone who was able to do their family history all the way to Adam and Eve. I think I have a new goal jaja.
We went and played sports in the chapel one day.
In honor of how much Coca Cola there is in this city.
Another one of my babies :)
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
I love and miss you all :)
