El Que No Vive Para Servir, No Sirve Para Vivir
Hola todos!
This week we had several opportunities to do 'surprise service'. As we ate or taught several members and converts, I knew that God had placed us there in the right moments. We had two experiences where the person we were visiting got sick and we were able to be there to help them. I learned the importance of service and loving the people we serve. We can serve half-heartedly and the job sure gets done, but what good does that do us? As I remember my great grandpa always said...
'If you're gonna do something, do it well.'
I also learned that Juarez can and will lie to you about the weather. It's hot again... :(
This week we started teaching Marta. We had contacted her about two weeks ago, but we were unable to find her in those two weeks. Yesterday, I thought popped into my head: 'Stop by and see if she's home' Yeah okay, i thought. So we headed on over there and knocked on the door. Then she walked up behind us and let us in. We had a powerful lesson and are excited to see her progress in this next few weeks.
On Sunday, Hermano Martin received the priesthood! We're excited to help him to the temple soon to do the work for his ancestors :)
Everything has been marching along here and I continue to love every. last. second. of my mission.
I love and miss you all! :)
(ps i'll send some pictures when the computer decides to cooperate. patience is very welcomed :) )
